Portugal 2030 embodies the Partnership Agreement<\/a> established between Portugal and the European Commission, which sets out the major strategic objectives for the implementation, between 2021 and 2027, of the total amount of \u20ac23 billion. <\/strong><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_2,1_2″ _builder_version=”4.19.2″ _module_preset=”default” collapsed=”off” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.19.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.19.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n The funds come from the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) \u2013 \u20ac11.5 billion, plus \u20ac139 million for European Territorial Cooperation (ETC); the ESF+ (European Social Fund) \u2013 \u20ac7.8 billion; the Cohesion Fund \u2013 \u20ac3.1 billion; the Just Transition Fund \u2013 \u20ac224 million; and the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) \u2013 \u20ac393 million. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n In addition to these amounts, there are also transfers to the Connecting Europe Facility \u2013 \u20ac1.048 billion. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n Its programming is based on five strategic objectives of the European Union: a smarter, greener, more connected, more social Europe that is closer to its citizens.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n Portugal 2030 has as its strategic framework the Portugal 2030 Strategy, approved by<\/span> Council of Ministers Resolution No. 98\/2020 of 13 November<\/span><\/a>, structured around four central thematic agendas for the development of Portugal’s economy, society and territory by 2030.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.19.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.19.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n Portugal 2030 is implemented through 12 programmes: four thematic programmes \u2013 Demography, skills and inclusion; Innovation and digital transition; Climate action and sustainability; and Sea; five regional programmes, corresponding to NUTS II regions on the mainland, two in the autonomous regions and one for technical assistance. In addition to these, there are the European Territorial Cooperation Programmes in which Portugal participates. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n Together, these programmes mobilise all available resources in
